The animated film version of J.R. Ackerley’s best-selling memoir, My Dog Tulip, will have its world theatrical premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the New York Film Forum. Written, directed and animated by Paul and Sandra Fierlinger, this decidedly adult story traces the small details of the 14-year relationship between Ackerley (voiced by Christopher Plummer) and his Alsatian in post-war England.
